If you are unable to make it into one of our clinics, online consultations are an alternative to face to face appointments and allow you to have access to your therapist at a dedicated time, from the comfort of your home or workplace.

We run our online consultations through video, so we can see you and you can see us. This service allows us to effectively guide you through rehabilitation plans and ensure you can stay on track with your upper limb recovery.

What do I need?

You will need to be able to use either your computer, a laptop, a tablet device (such as an iPad) or a mobile phone. We currently use a program called ZOOM to conduct our online video consults.  You will need internet or phone reception during the online session.

Our friendly reception team can email instructions on how you can download the ZOOM software. If this option isn’t right for you, we can discuss alternatives with you.

What to expect
Well, basically the same great service, and passion you would experience face to face!

You’ll be greeted with a friendly smile, and someone who is ready to listen, help you work towards your goals, and ensure your outcome isn’t compromised, despite physically not being able to attend. There will be some things we can’t do exactly the same, but we have some strategies in place if that happens.

For new clients our therapists will take a detailed account of your problems and ask you to perform some tests to assess you in order to make a clinical diagnosis. Online medical or specialist reviews can be arranged as well as x-ray, ultrasound and MRI referrals if appropriate

For clients already known to us, your therapist will review your progress and discuss in detail the next steps to take in your rehabilitation program. They will teach you what you can do at home and give you real-time feedback on how you are going with your home program.

Any relevant notes or exercise sheets will be emailed after the online consultation.

If “off the shelf” splints, braces or equipment are required for your injury and rehabilitation a combination of postal and home delivery will be utilised.

Billing and payments

Following your consultation, we will email an invoice to you. Our team will then phone you to arrange payment. This can be made over the phone with credit card or via online banking.
